This one is for you Chelle....(my trips to NYC and SFO)

Ok update on my life....

So last week, I got the opportunity to go to NYC and San Francisco within one week. I have never done the coast to coast thing, but it was so much fun. Other than I had the worse luck with flying.

So REV'IT the motorcycle clothing company flew the Parts Manager Chad and I out to New York City. We flew out Tuesday morning, and as we were sitting in our seats, they announced that everyone has to de-board the plane cause Denver has grounded all flights due to weather. Chad and I were ok with that, cause we had a 4 hour layover. So that means that we have a 3 hour layover rather than a 4 hour. So an hour later we boarded our flight and it was the most bumpy flight I have ever been on. Even the flight attendant was really nervous when she made the announcement "the pilot has informed me to inform you that it is going to be this bumpy until we hit the ground (paused...everyone is laughing on the plane)...and I mean until we land." Then when we did land in Denver that flight attendant was M.I.A. ha ha they must have pulled her off to the side and gave her a little talk. So after we took off in Denver and on our way to NYC, we ended up having to do a hold on the plane (which means make circles till we have the clearance to land). So we were holding for about 30 mins and when we landed the airport was crazy busy. Even our driver (we had a car service) said he hadn't seen the airport as busy as it was that night. Good thing we only did carry on's and didn't check any bags.
So after we landed in NYC, the only thing I wanted to do that night was go get a famous NYC piece of pizza. So we did that, and not only did we do that, I found out that the place where we got pizza at was right next to the Empire State Building!!! So that was really cool.

The next day we spent the whole day at REV'IT, and in case you didn't see it on Facebook their office is in a great place. You can see the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, Statan Island, Manhattan, and Brooklyn. It was amazing view. So we spent the day learning about new motorcycle gear. Then later that night they took us to dinner and a great little bakery. You know how I love my baked items. :) I was going to go to Times Square but I got too tired and just wanted to go to bed. But they did make we take the Subway, and that was pretty cool. ha ha
The next day was the flight home. They delayed our flight out, which means when we landed in Arionza, we were running to make our flight to Salt Lake. It was crazy, we got there just in the nick of time.

Then I was home just enough to go to work on Friday and Saturday. But on Saturday I left work an hour early to go get on a plane to San Fran.

My flight to San Fran. lucky enough had no problems other than it landed early but that was no problem really. It just means I had to wait a little bit longer for Mikey to come and pick me up.
Once Evan and him picked me, we went to our hotel which was the Ritz Carlton (fancy dancy). Then we meet up with some more people and went out to a great Thai resturant. Then after that, Evan, Mike, and I went back to the hotel to get ready for the Halloween party that we planned to go to. Mike and I dressed up as Zombies cause it was easy and we didn't have to worry about much to the costume. Evan dressed up as a doctor, cause that is what he is...so he didn't really have to dress up much either. It was nice for all of us.

Then we headed to the club, and danced our butts off till I believe 5 in the morning!! It was so much fun. I can not even tell you the words as to how much fun it was, but it for sure had to be the best time I have ever had in my life (up to date). Mikey really knows how to pick a great place to go dance :) Then after we left the club, we went back to the hotel room and chilled out till about 6:30 in the morning. Then we went to bed and didn't wake up till about 3:00 in the afternoon. Then Evan, Brooklyn, Michael, and I went to breakfast. I had the best pancakes I have ever had. mmmmm. Then Brooklyn, Michael, and I all went swimming. Then the 3 of us went out to dinner for some authentic Itailian. It was so good as well. Afterwards, we just went to bed, cause we had an early morning flight. So at 3:30 am Michael and I woke up and went to the airport only to find out that our flight was canceled after we boarded the plane. So Mikey being the VIP of Delta that he is, called and got us directly on the next flight out of San Fran. So other than our flight out the weekend was completely wonderfully amazing!!!

Ok so I better get back to work...but that the update on me. :) Now back to work.

This weekend....

So this weekend is going to be a busy one for me.

Saturday...at work we are having a big open house for the new Triumph Sprint GT, which I am in charge of so I am going to be crazy busy tomorrow.

Sunday...I get to go watch people go run circles around Miller...not really just people either...I get to go watch Mikey around a track on a HOT Daytona 675. I will admit I am a little jealous that he is riding a fully prep race Daytona. Maybe one day he will let me ride his race bike around Miller. hint hint

Monday....which is part of my weekend cause I work Tuesday through Saturday...Monday I will be hanging out with my great friend Tiecen and her daughter. She is moving to Vegas within the next week...so I want to be able to hang out with her before she leaves.

So if you couldn't guess I am pretty excited for this weekend....well mainly Sunday and Monday...Saturday...not so much. :)

Updates

Ok so here is what is going on lately.....

So my job has been black and white...some days are really busy and some days are slow, but overall it is really good. It is fun to work for a motorcycle dealership. It is fun when you get a customer that follows racing and then the salesman comes over and says..."you need to talk to her" So we end up talking about racers and racing that is going on. I say this cause this just happened. I think I really impressed him. ha ha

My new place is awesome. I love how close I am to work now....it is so nice that I get to sleep in an extra 15 or 20 mins. ha ha Altough it seems lately I have been waking up every morning at 6. No matter what time I go to bed I seem to be wide awake around 6...sucks. :( I am not getting my beauty rest...Mikey (that one is for you Warren) is not going to find me beautiful anymore if this keeps up. ha ha

Speaking of the devil....Mike invited me to do another ART class at Miller on the 26th of Sept...and it was so good to be out there again. It made me realize that I do want to hopefully start racing one day, but I want to be smart about it. I will take all the classes I can and learn everything that there is to be taught and once I feel comfortable, then think about put the money down for race bike. Mike is amazing though...he really knows how to make this girl happy...and inviting me to the ART classes is for sure one of those things that makes me happy.

Off the subject...I need a neck and back rub...any volunteers? ha ha

Update

So the last week I have been moving out of my house and putting everything into storage, cause we are having the renters move in next Friday. This morning I started moving out of my apartment and I will be moving that stuff in my new place....which I am very excited about. But it feels like the only thing that I have been doing since Monday is moving....and it isn't going to stop untill next Friday. Next Friday my renters will be moving into my house, and I will be officially moving into my new place.

My new place is going to be nice. I have a really nice size room, I will be sharing a bathroom...but that is fine..and most important I will have a place to park my motorcycle in the wintertime. It is nice when your roommates are also motorcycle people too, cause then you know that your bike will be just fine.

So I am so much looking forward to the weekend. The ART class that I took at Miller the first of Aug is happening again on Sunday, and who has two thumbs and will be going to be to it.....this girl. :) I love learning anything and everything their is know about motorcycle riding. I really want to learn more about riding on the track...in hopes one day I will be able to get the gutts and actually race. Maybe towards the end of next summer or something. Who knows. :) So I am looking forward to the weekend very much.

I am here I promise....

I am sorry I haven't posted anything in a while...I have been really busy trying to find a place to live...which I found somewhere...wahooo..... and I have been really busy with my new job at the motorcycle dealership. Really those are pretty lame excuses cause I could just take 5 mins and write something on here...but I really do think that not a lot of people follow it anymore since I have been gone for a while. Oh well....

Things are getting better...of course there are some moments that aren't so good...but they are for sure getting better and better as the days go by. I am just doing my best to surround myself around the people that make me feel good about myself, and keep a positive outlook on life. I am not looking forward to moving. I love my house...it was a great house...but I am glad that Dallas and Tiffany are renting out for us so we are not having to pay for all of the mortgage. They are going to be helping us out so much. I appreciate them for doing it.

Did I tell you that I went on amazing motorcycle trip last weekend? I went with the Canyonchasers.net and it was so fun....no one crashed....no one got hurt. We hit every amazing twisted canyon to Wolf Creek down to Torrey down to Bryce Canyon. We even went through Escalante...which as you know that is where my dad and mom's side of the family is from. I haven't been back there in over 8 years. It was so great to be back....we rode right by the Henryville Cemetery and I blew a kiss to my Grandma and Grandpa. Well the trip was incredible, the food was amazing, and the company was even better. We rode 1100 miles in 3 days....correction 1100 twisting miles in 3 days.

Anywho.....I am off to bed....exhausted. Have a good night.

My first track day at Miller....

So yesterday didn't start out so hot...it was raining cats and dogs and I was a little worried that the track day I had planned was not going to turn out so well. I ended up going into work for a couple of hours....hung out in my wet leathers..then I headed out for the track. By the time I got to the track the rain stopped and the sun started to shine..then by the time lunch was done and over with..it was a beautiful day!! I asked my friend Mike to come to the track day..normally he doesn't pay for track days cause he is an A.R.T. instructor...but he gladly said he would come and show me how to be smooth on the track. It was BRILLANT!! He showed me how to hit the apexes, where my body should be, when and were I should speed up and slow down, and finally...how to properly put my knee down. All of it was so amazing! He told me that I did a great job...and I said thanks but I still have a lot to learn. Because I do. Just cause I went out to the track..doesn't make me an expert...I still have and I still want to learn so much. I want to learn as much as they will let me. I also got to ride two up with Shorty from the Yamaha racing school..that was mind blowing as well...and super crazy fast. He also took the time to show me a trick or two about the track as well. :) Thanks guys for all of your help.

It has been a while but I am back....

Sorry that I haven't posted anything in a while...but in case you didn't know there is a lot going on in my life right now. I got a new car cause I have been seperated from my husband and I wanted a lower car payment. So I got the car I wanted in the first place...a Ford Fusion. It is fun.. I love my car. :) Also Ant and I have decided that we are going to get divorced cause we want to make sure we end this not mad or hating at each other....and end this as adults. We are moving forward so that we can move on. So that means we are putting our house up for sale if anyone is interested. Also...I have put in my two weeks notice at my job and now I will be working up at BWM/Triumph motorcycles of Salt Lake as of Sept 4th. I will be the Events and Marketing person. It will be hard and busy but I will enjoy it cause I get to talk and be around motorcycles all day. :) I will be working Tuesday-Saturday. It will be nice to have Mondays off work.

So with all of the sudden changes in my life...I am doing my best to stay positive and keep my head above water. It was nice yesterday morning....cause I had the best calming feeling..and ever since then I feel good about things. :)

675....

So ever since I have been out on the track...I have been ruined. That is all I want to do now...just ride on the track. On the 28th I am going to be out at Miller doing a track day. I am so excited for it. It is going to be the West track, which in my opinion I think the East would have been more fun...but at this point I will take anything that I can get. :) Thank you Triumph for having a track day. :) wahooooo

Weekend of Motorcycle racing...

So I pretty much spent the whole weekend at Miller. It was fun to see some of my friends race, including the two GREAT races Mike (Daytona 675) vs. Aaron (SV 650). That was pure entertainment if you ask me. They both put up a big fight, but I have reason to believe that Mike is a lot like the UFC fighter Silva.

Silva would like you to think he is loosing but then at the last min (or lap at this case) he comes in and distroys. So that makes me think Mike like to play the field a little bit...starts towards the back...then a couple of laps before the end..he starts to crawl up on the compettion. Then right at the last sec...BAM he takes out compettion...and at this point the compettion was Aaron....and at the last turn Mike got him!!! It was such a good race. We all just had a great laugh at it. Way to go Aaron for being able to retire the pink shirt and Mike for a great finish.

Name dropping...

Hello MANGO!!!

Did you hear..it is Friday!!

Friday starts the weekend, and this weekend should be so much. I am going to go to Miller on Sat and Sun to watch Aaron race, then Sunday night is the roast of The Hoff. I am not having people over for it anymore btw. But I am very much looking forward to watching it. ha ha

Last night I saw The Lion King broadway play and WOW it was the most amazing thing I have EVER seen visually. The puppets were remarkable! It was so fun and funny. I would love to go see it again. :) If get the chance to go and see it, you should!! I think I loved it more than I love Wicked. Yes I said it...I liked it better than Wicked! ha ha So go and see it. :)

Riding in the clouds...

Last Sunday I got to take an ART class...Advance Rider Training Course at Miller Motorsports Park. It was so much fun...we were only scheduled to ride the go kart track but right before lunch..they made an announcement that they were going to let us go on the big track. Not only did we ride the big track we rode the FULL track. Normally they only let you ride the west or east side of the track...but nope...it was the course that the World Superbikes race on. It was the highlight of my day...week....maybe even the whole month....or even longer. It was so fun.

The class was fun...it was nice and easy and like Mike says....smooth. No pressure to go fast and you learn at your own pace. Mike, Warren, Mango, and I forget the other instructor, were great teachers. I would reccommend anyone to take this class. THANK YOU MIKE!!! Thank you for letting me be your guest and giving me the chance to learn something new on my bike. :)

Great weekend...

This last weekend I didn't think it was going to be as good as it was going to be....only because I wanted to ride but my bike was in the shop. But Casey wanted to go on a ride (bad week for him), so I woke up early Sat. morning and met him to go on a ride....I just rode the loaner bike which was a Street Triple R (still Triumph). It was fun...we just took our time and had fun with it....we were not in a big rush to go anywhere fast. Then came back to his place, met up with some friends and went to Hunter's and Justin's Birthday party (room mates, and they have close birthdays). We had so much fun there...We stayed till 2 in the morning. I didn't get home and into bed till 3:30am. ha ha Then Sunday since Ant was busy, I met up with Shawna, Nicolas, Sirray, over at Casey and Sydra's place and Sydra made us brunch at noon. It was so good!!! Then Casey and I were suppose to go ride Motard, but the half of the track was rented out for go karting. So instead we spent the whole day at the pool. Then we all decided to go to a movie...Inception. It was an ok movie but the more I thought of it, the more I like it! :) So other than Ant was busy and couldn't come and join us...it was a great weekend. Hopefully after labor day...THE BIG MILLER RACE for Ant...he will be able to come play with all of us. :)

Randy Newman and Short People

Ok so I was introduced to this song yesterday and I died laughing....well not really but this is really funny. It make more funny cause I have always considered myself to be a short person. So sit back and relax and enjoy this funny song from Randy Newman.....

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1NvgLkuEtkA

You might want to listen to it twice cause you might miss a line or two from laughing too hard. ha ha

Have a great weekend!

WOW....

There are no words that I can discribe about how amazing last night concert was. It wasn't as good as Paul McCartney but I think what made it so great was the friends I was with. Also it started to rain in the middle of the show, and I love the rain. So dancing to Reggae music with good friends while it is raining...it was the perfect mix. It was so much fun....it will be a night to remember...even though I got stuck in traffic and didn't get home till 3:30 am. ha ha but it is funny cause I didn't even get mad that I was stuck in traffic...I was on a natural high and that was great! Here is the band that we saw....

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ehu3wy4WkHs&feature=avmsc2

It is such a good song and the lyrics are so awesome.

Where is the motivation...

I need some motivation to work today. Anyone got some to spare, do want to spare me some? Holy cow I just want to be outside riding or playing, or something that is better than sitting at a desk for 8 hours. Tonight I am going to see Michael Franti and Spearhead, so it makes it harder for me to want to stay here at my desk. It should be a fun concert, cause I am going with some good friends.

Today is Casey's birthday as well. I felt bad for him cause I guess for the last 3 years his wife has been gone (business trip) for his birthday. So last night I didn't want him to be sad, when he came down to visit, so I made my homemade chocolate cake for his birthday cake. Then I delivered his piece a cake with a candle on it. I did sing happy birthday to him, but I did it so fast...no one wants to hear me sing...especially with a head cold. ha ha I think it made his day better. :)

Another note: my best friend Luke and his wife had there 2nd baby yesterday!! I am so happy for them. I would love to go over and visit them, but since I am sick I will just have to wait till I am healed. ha ha I don't want to get anyone sick.

Another note: I want to tell Taylor Anderson...I know what you are going through right now with Tyson being gone. It is very hard, but I promise you the time will go by faster than you think. You will be so busy with school that the next thing you know it...Tyson is home! :) If you ever need a hug or just to talk...you know you can always turn to your bigger sister. I will be there for you. :) Love ya Tay!

Somethings don't always pan out....

So something happened to me today that I don't want to go into much detail over with you, but lets just say I am not very happy of how it happened the way it did. It was suppose to be a great day today...the last day of work for the week....I got up at 5:00am this morning to help Anthony rebuild his shocks on his race bike, then I made him some breakfast.....and I get to hang out with two of my greatest friends tonight, Shawna and Casey. Well my addittude change about an hour ago when I got some really bad news and I got it the crappiest way of getting it....through email. What the heck is up with that??? Why couldn't the person just call me and tell me rather than emailing it to me. He didn't email me directly either....he did it through someone else. Talk about lack of respect for me, and making me feel 2 inches small. It was a downer that is for sure....finding out through an email through somebody else....such B.S.!!! Sorry this post was more of a venting one for me to get it off my shoulders.....and for that so I am sorry that this is such a downer post.

All work no play makes Jack a dull boy.....

The last couple of days of work have been crazy. It is no doubt because I have Friday off work and we are asking people to get their payrolls in early, but I am just feel burned out. It doesn't help either that I am sick. :( I woke up yesterday with a sore throat, my ears hurt, and my body aches as well. Today I didn't feel as sick, but once again my work is drowning me. I guess you can say I am looking forward to a 3 day weekend. :)

All Work NO play MakeS JAck a DULL Boy

ALL work NO PLAY makes JaCK a Dull Boy

All work NO play MAKES JACK a dull BOY

Great movie, eh?

Ding! The roast is on....

So a couple of weeks ago I was watching Comedy Central and they announced the Roast of David Hasseloff!! How amazing will that be!!!! So I put myself a reminder note on my phone to DVR it. The last one I watched that they put on was the one of Flavor Flav, and that was so funny. So there will be no way I am going to miss the roast of the HOFF......and I am going to make a party of it that night. I am going to make dinner and have my homemade chocolate cake. Sooo....here is your official invation my party...

August 15th at 5:00 we will be eating dinner, then watching the Roast of The Hoff. If you would like to come please let me know, and then mark your calendars to save the date. :)

A little girl at Christmas....

So ever since I got my new motorcycle I have been doing my best not to buy things I don't want to save up for a pair of leathers. Well that moment came for me last weekend. I went up to Salt Lake Motorsports and found some Alpinestars and the guy said if they fit he will sell them to me at cost. Sure enough they fit...so I made my purchase and I got my first set of leathers. It was worth the wait. I love them!!!

One of the best nights of my life....

...happened to me last night. I only wish I would have paid the extra money to get the seats for $250.00, cause then I would have been in the first 20 rows of the concert...but our seats were still pretty amazing. I could still see him 85% of the concert. But I lived one of my ultimate dreams...I saw a Beatle preform. How many people can say that? I am sure there is quite a bit...but it was like a dream come true for me. This was the most amazing concert that I have ever been too...and if he EVER comes back to Utah (this was his first time in Utah) I will pay for the best seats in the house. The first song he sang was Jet and it was great...but the 2nd song he sang was All My Lovin...and I was just like the girls on the Ed Sullvan show when they first came over to the States....I started to cry. Dork I know. Then later on he started telling the audience about how you should never leave anything unsaid, because he felt that happened to him and John (Lennon). He didn't get to say what he wanted to say till it was too late, and so he wrote the most beautiful song to John about what he would say if he were still alive today...again...tears were swelling in my eyes. Then later he also paid tribute to George (Harrison, my favorite Beatle) and when he started singing Something, I lost it. I started to cry....I just looked at my cousin and was like..."I am a dork." ha ha lucky for me she understood. But it was so amazing...words can not discribe what that concert meant to me and how incredible it was. THANK YOU PAUL for making me so happy and having one of the best shows I have EVER been too. I am still on cloud 9 from the show! :)

The most expensive concert...

Tonight I will be attending the most expensive concert I have ever been too. Sir Paul McCartney! WAHOOOO I am so excited...this will be the closest I will ever get to seeing The Beatles. I got great seats and so that means it cost me a pretty penny, but trust me it will be worth every penny.

Ghosts of boyfriends pasts....

So I have had a very interesting week for me this week. I found out that a guy I dated in high school (my first real heart break..my sister can tell you. She even sent me flowers at school to try to cheer me up) I was his first kiss. ha ha Our courier at my work asked me if I remember Jake Allen (he went to AF high school) and I said yes, and he told me that he was his neighbor. Then he told me how the conversation started and then told me that Jake told him that I was his first kiss. ha ha lol I never knew that! ha ha

Then last night I went to the Modest Mouse concert (very good btw) and it was so funny...I was talking to my friend Casey and Sydra and I told them...."If I see my ex that I haven't seen in almost 7 years, I bet it will be tonight. He was the one that introduced to me to Modest Mouse" sure enough about 20 mins later I walk by a man that looks like my ex's little brother....I was like "Brett? is that you?" then he just looks at me weird and I hear a "oh hey, Lindsey!" and Clint was right next to him. I didn't even notice Clint was next to him. It was SO weird but good at the same time. It was good to hear his family was doing great and hear that he is doing good as well.

Talk about boyfriends from the passed coming back to haunt me. ha ha CRAZY. They say things come in 3's. So who will be the 3rd one to pop out of nowhere? ha ha

Tax dollars put to good use....

So the other day when I was running into Wal Mart to get something for dinner there was a lady in front of me in the check out lane. She had about 12 - 24 packs of Coke, and about 6-10 bags of chips, and when the clerk asked her how she was going to pay for it...she said food stamps. I was like FOOD STAMPS!!!!!!! REALLY?!?!?!?! Her total came to $89 (and change) and she gave the lady $90 worth of food stamps to pay for her coke and chips. I was thinking "WOW I am so glad my tax dollars are being put to good use" I was so upset...I tried not to judge her....but I was just upset that there are people that are really stuggling in this world and here in front of me I have a lady buying $90 worth of soda and chips with FOOD STAMPS!!! I wish I would have had the guts to say something to her and then followed by a slap across the face.

What you would call a great extended weekend....

Friday night Ant met me up at my work, then we headed up to Casey and Sydra's apartment. Then Aaron (from the motorcycle dealership) came over and we all went out to Indian food. The India Place is my new favorite resturant. :)

Then Saturday the 3 of them (Casey, Sydra, and Aaron) came down and we went on a ride on my favorite ride, Fairview canyon. We did the canyon twice it was so much fun. You can say I really broke in my new tires. :) Everyone was impressed including myself. Then we came back to our house and I cook dinner for everyone. Then Ant pulled out his little pocket bike (he bought it in garage sale for $40 ha ha) then we moved all the cars off the driveway and made our own race track. It was so funny, we even had neighbors coming over to watch everyone ride this thing. It was so funny to see what kind of lap times they pulled. Aaron won, of course cause he is my height and weighs next to nothing, and then Ant came in 2nd, and Casey came in 3rd. They were all only a couple of secs off from each other...it was a close race. I didn't feel like riding it, I just wanted to record the action. ha ha Then after that, we watched a movie (Grandma's Boy) then we went to Betos and watched fireworks. They all ended up staying over. We had an absolute blast!

Sunday we got invited to go up to Jason and Brittney's house, then to go out to breakfast, go for a ride, then go back to their place for a bbq. We did all of that, and had a great time with everyone up there.

Monday (day off for the holiday) I went 4-wheeling with the Andersons and my parents came along. It was so beautiful where we went, I really enjoyed the ride. Ant stayed home, he wanted to work on the race bike. Then that night we went over to my parents, ate pizza and watched a movie.

So that is what I call a great extended weekend. :)

Tarantula..

Ok so this was on MSN home page and I had to watch it. As you know or may not know...I have a pet Tarantula, so of course this amazes me...even though I already knew what the women explains about the spider. Homer...the name Ant has named our trantula...is very friendly. We have had several people hold her (yes we found out it was female...after we named her...she is our drag queen) at different times and sure enough...she is really nice about it. So watch the video below and if you want to hold our spider after watching it....come over sometime and we will let you. WARNING!!! if you absolutely HATE spiders don't watch this.

Sarcasm

I love sarcasm. It really should be my middle name....the best, is the way that Wikipedia explains what sarcasm is......

Sarcasm is "a sharp, bitter, or cutting expression or remark; a bitter jibe or tuant."

I am not so sure about the bitter part but I love the "cutting expression...tuant" part. Now what part of that is not me? How can that not be my middle name? Do you think if I went to Social Security and told them to change my name to Lindsey Sarcasm Burrows, they would let me? I am sure they would as long as I paid them....besides a lot of people do anything for a buck this days. I clean my parents house just so I can have a little extra cash here and there.

Work load...

Now that my work load has doubled at my work...I actually look forward to the weekends. But I am actually enjoying work little more, cause I always believe the more busy you are the faster your day goes...and as you can imagine...my days go by A LOT faster now. It is nice...for now. Who knows what next week will bring. ha ha HAVE A GOOD WEEKEND EVERYONE! :)

It is official....

I am officially excited for the Eclipse movie!! Ha ha I am reading the book (like I always do with the Twilight books) before I see the movie next Tuesday. I also have Premiere tickets. We get to see it before it is released on Tuesday night at Midnight. We are going to see at 5:15 instead!!!!! So now that I have been thinking about it more...and that has got me all sorts of excited for it. Nerd...I know I am. :)

GOOOO USA!!!

Thank you Landon Donovan for making my day start out to a great one. That was an amazing goal. You have made us all proud.

That is a picture of Tracey Wilson and I at the MLS All Star game last year. Everyone says Team Jacob, or Team Edward but that day I was Team Landon. :) ha ha

Is it sad when.....

it is only Tuesday and you are already looking forward to the weekend? ha ha Tonight our friends from Seattle were suppose to come and stay with us, but I just got a text from Ant telling me that they are coming tomorrow night instead. Which is nice cause I am so tired today, I wasn't looking forward to entertaining guests. Tomorrow will be better. :) So I am looking forward to going home...going to Zumba...cooking some dinner...then doing nothing! :) Maybe I can convince Ant to take me to ice cream tonight. ;)

GO Ben Spies......

Yesterday was one of the most amazing races (to me) I have ever seen of MotorGP. Most likely cause Ben Spies was doing so amazing. So was Nicky Hayden, but it all came down to the last couple of laps of the race. Lorenzo was WAYYYY ahead in first then it was a battle from there. Ben was in 5th just behind Nicky then Nicky passed up the guy in 4th to be in 3rd, then Ben passed up the guy in 4th to be in 4th...then Ben passed Nicky on the last half of the last lap which made him come in 3rd place for the first time in GP!!! Oh man it was so intense...I was screaming at the top of my lungs! Poor Ant...he kept telling me to stop yelling...but I couldn't help it....it was amazing to see him do so good his first year of GP. GOOOOO BEN SPIES!!!

P.S. I also had broken my weekend record...I rode 560 miles in two days! :) You could say I was a little exhausted on Sunday night! :) I love my bike!!!

Off to the Brit. bike club meeting....

I love the 3rd Thursday of the month. It means that we off to the Brittsh Bike Club meeting. I love going and hang out with everyone talking about old bikes, and all the adventures that they have been on. One guy that is member...Joe Cash...he has an incredible collection of bikes, and he has also riden with Steven McQueen before!!! Can you imagine that??? I love Steve McQueen. I would have died and gone to heaven if that would have happened to me. Lucky Joe.

Crazy week....

I am so excited for Sunday...it will be the first day this week that I don't have ANYTHING going. The only thing I have PLANNED is a motorcycle ride.
Every night this week there is something going on. Tonight is Bunco, tomorrow night is Brittsh Bike Club, Friday is my family reunion (that is going on all weekend long) Saturday I have bridal shower in Idaho, and Saturday night back to the reunion. But I am kind of glad I am busy this week. I have a lot on my mind, and it helps to have these things going so that I can clear my mind of those things that are non stop in my head (hopefully that makes sense). Every night before I go to bed, I have to make sure I am completely exhausted...cause if I am not...then my mind starts thinking and I can't sleep.

Although last night I had a great night. My friend Casey (who I ride motorcycles with) invited me to go up and hang out with his wife and him after him and I went for a ride. So after our ride I went up and hung out. Aarron from the dealership stopped by, then his wife got home from picking up Erin (a girl from Colorado) from the airport, and then we all went out to the Fiddlers Elbow. It was so much fun just hanging out not having to worry about anything (other than I wanted Ant to be there to enjoy it with me but he had some stuff to do). It was cool ride on the way home...the sky had some lighting here and there and at one time the sky was purple when the lighting struck.

Lynell's Wedding...

Last weekend Ant and I both drove down to St. George to attend a wedding. Stephan and Lynell have been together since the day before our wedding..so anytime our Aniv. is coming up we know theirs is too. Both them did attend our wedding in Vegas as well. There wedding was up Zion Canyon at the Zion Canyon Inn. It was great place to have a wedding...untill right after they said "I do" it started to rain. Good thing the whole thing, other than the wedding was planned inside....well they did plan on taking pictures outside...so that did change as well. But it was a great and small wedding. She absolutely looked beautiful...I started to cry...it was such a great moment for the two of them....and me...it was great to see the two of them so happy..to see HER so happy. I have known Lynell for 11 years now and I have seen that girl have her heart broken...happy...and broken again. It is great to see her with someone that takes good care of her and makes her happy as she is. They are absolutely adorable together.

I must say I am sorry...

I am so sorry that I have not been keeping my blog updated for the last couple of days. My work has been crazy. They let someone go, so my work load has just doubled. So you can say I am a little stressed out this week....but my trick is not to show it at work. ;) Ant knows how stressed out I really am...poor guy...he really is getting the grunt of it. I love him for it though...he is helping me out more than he knows it. Well I need to get back to work...so I will get on later tonight or tomorrow and update on what is going on.

My weekend...

This weekend we have Anthony's racing team mate staying with us. Dave and His wife are coming down from Seattle to stay with us for a couple of days, then he is taking Anthony's race bike to a race in case his breaks down. He wants to win the full championship, so he is going to every race that AHRMA is putting on. I think so far he is in first place. :) I think they are staying with us till Monday morning too. Dave owns the Rockett 3 (Triumph of course) and I know he takes with him to the races, so I am hoping that on Sunday they will be keen for a ride. :)

Craving cured.....

Today for lunch I had a peanut butter and banana sandy. I was craving it, and I knew I needed to go to the store after work. So I thought...why don't I run to the store now and that way I can have my sandy and get my shopping done. So I did....and I think the last time I ate one of those was when I was in Jr. High School....but man it was so good. I think I might have another one tomorrow. :) Thanks Taylor for reminding me how much I loved peanut butter and banana sandwiches. :)

Good news to come....SBK weekend

Last weekend at the World Super Bike races (which by the way was one of the most amazing weekends EVER) Ant had something happened to him that is just...AMAZING!!! He told me not to blog about it untill he has personally sent out emails or called the people he wants to tell in person. So once he has done that...then I can tell you my GREAT news as well.

Anywho I had a great weekend. I met some riders and got to hang out with them as well. Here...let me post some pictures for you to look at.....

(left to right) John Hopkins, Jason DiSalvo, Noriyuki Haga, and Roger Lee Hayden

James Toseland, Troy Corser, Leon Haslam, Melissa Paris, and her hubby Josh Hayes (as you recall I met Josh last month, so it was good to catch up with him again. He even remember Anthony and asked about how his racing went at Willow...see he really is a nice guy).

Max Biaggi (the big winner of the weekend), Jonathan Rea, and Chris "Teach" McNeil.
I thought I took a picture of Chris Pfeiffer and I but I didn't. :( Him and Chris "Teach" are the stunt riders for BMW and I got to hang out with them quite a bit. They were both nice people too.

Also I got a free set of race tires from Melissa Paris' crew chief. Him and I were talking for a while and he asked me what I rode. When I told him the Daytona 675, he said I have some tires if you want them. Melissa only used the set a couple of laps and wanted to switch them out with a different tire. So I told him that I would take them...then he told me that when I start doing track days or decide to race he will help me tune up my bike. I was like really??? WOW thank you that would be awesome. I am going to have to send him a thank you card sometime soon.

I have so many stories about the weekend...I wish I could share them all but this is a long blog as it is. So maybe later next week when I am not so busy at work I will tell you some more.

Not sure what to do....I want Leathers!

So every year for my birthday, Banana Republic and Victoria's Secret gives me $15 and $10 off my next purchase coupons. I have them but my problem is I don't want to use them, but at the same time I don't want them to go to waste. I really want to save up for a pair of leathers for when I ride my motorcycle on the track next year. So what do I do? Do I want to spend the $50 or $60 dollars just to save $25. Or do I save the money for race leathers, something I have always wanted?

AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!

World Super Bike Racing...

So last couple of years I have a couple of weekends that I really look forward too, and this weekend is one of those weekends. It is the BIG weekend of World Super Bike races at the Miller Motorsport Park. I love this weekend!!! Granted Ben Spies won't be there...but maybe Nicky Hayden will be since his brother is racing. :) We have grandstand seating as normal. We sit in between the Bad Addittudes and Tooele Turn....which is Tooele Grandstand 2. Every year we sit in this stand cause you can see 90% of the track. It is far from everything, but it is worth it when you can see as much race as you can.

So if any of you guys are going, call me, and let me know...it would be fun to hang out since we are going to be there.

Last night....

So last night I went over to the Anderson's house to catch up with them. It feels like it has been a while since I last saw them. Ant was over earlier to help Kam with his Eagle Scout project and I was going to go over later after dinner. I went over and I ended up talking to Tim for over an hour (Tina was gone helping Kam with his work stuff). The poor guy...he sat there and listen to me about my past, how I believe that everything happens for a reason, how I have learned from my mistakes when it comes to relationships, life, and etc. He also shared with me some his stories, and I appreciate that he did. I love hearing other people stories. Hearing what they have been through and done in their lives. Just ask Ant...I know it is not none of my business but I love to hear about his past realationships with his past girlfriends. I don't know why, I just really like to hear those kind of stories.

Well after our long talk...Kensie and I looked at her yearbook and I ended up signing it. ha ha It was so funny...we were laughing about it for at least 10 mins. ha ha lol

It was a great night overall.

How many motorcycles can you ride in one day....

I had a fun weekend last weekend. On Friday night Ant and I went out to dinner and I was craving pot stickers so we went to a place called the Rooster Dumpling and Noodle bar. It was amazing! The food was so good, we will be going back for sure. Then later that night my attentions were to go to bed early, but I couldn't fall asleep till about 10.

The next morning I got up at 4:30 am cause we had to be at the dealership before 7:00 and I didn't want to be late...cause I didn't want toliet cleaning duty. LOL So we got there and I didn't have to clean toliets!! Wahoo..instead I got vaccuming duties. So after that Jeremy came up to me and said I am going to sweeper to all of the motorcycle demo rides. I WAS SO EXCITED!!! That could have been the best job ever! Every half hour we would start a new demo ride and whatever motorcycle was available I got to ride! So the whole day I spent riding motorcycles and getting paid for it! I got to ride the, Daytona (which isn't new cause you all already know that is what I own), Speed Triple, Street Triple, Thunderbird (which was a little intimdating but once I got the hang of power and torque, I had so much fun on it) Bonnieville SE, and the Scrambler. I have never rode that many miles (est. 175 miles) in one zip code before. ha ha It was so much fun riding all those different bikes. Only if everyday working at the motorcycle shop was that fun. ha ha Next Saturday...I am working for them but at the World Superbike Races. Come look for me at the BMW vendor tent.

Yesterday we just spent the day playing the Wii, and then we went to my parents and had a triple feature. It was a nice and relaxing day.

So overall it was a GREAT weekend. :)

Mancation....can I go with you Ben Spies??

If you saw the Ben Spies and Collin Edward videos before....then you will love this one. It was so hard not to laugh out loud when I was watching this......

Josh Hayes told me about this one, and I just remembered to look it up. Enjoy!

I got tickets!!!!

Last night at Bunco a couple of the ladies that I play with said that Paul McCartney tickets are going on sale today at 10:00 a.m. ONLY if you have an AMEX card. I didn't have one, so I kept telling myself...well you don't need to go....you want race leathers instead...the point is I kept talking myself out of it. I just didn't think it was meant to be. But then at the last min I said at work..just joking...anyone who has an AMEX card that will let me use it so I can use it to buy tickets, I would appreciate it. Low and behold Maggie said here, use mine. So that was it...I was convinced that I am meant to go to this concert. So I logged on at 10 and I wanted at least $85 seats...and I GOT THEM!!! I got first row in our section too!!!! Which means...no one is sitting in front of us...at least not directly....and the seats are on the field!!! So I will get to be on the field where Real Salt Lake plays, watching Paul McCartney!!! This will be one of the most amazing things ever!!!
If you have known me for a long time, you know that this is like a dream come true for me...cause you know how much I LOVE The Beatles. It might not be the whole package but at least it is one of them. :) I AM SO EXCITTED!!!!!! This is the only time Paul McCartney has ever played to Utah too...so I am pretty sure the tickets are going to sell out fast once it is opened to the public.
WAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

Cravings....

First off I want to thank Taylor Anderson and Erin Kidd for striking up some cravings that I have now. After reading both your blogs...I want peanut butter and banana sandwiches, and S'Mores. MMMMMM both sound so amazing. Thanks guys! ha ha

Yesterday on my blog I didn't go into details of my night cause, yesterday I went and picked up Anthony's Anniv. gift. I got him a big poster of the #1 photo from my photo shoot with Kay and my motorcycle. He loved that photo so much that I thought that would be a great gift....and it was! He loved it! I gave it to him last night...even though our Anniv. isn't till Saturday...we both work at the dealership that day, and don't see anytime between now and then that I could give it to him. We are both so completely busy. Speaking of busy...tonight I have Bunco at my house. :)

LUCKY! ha ha

Dark Chocolate....

Can I tell you guys how much I LOVE dark chocolate??? I love it. I have these truffles that are dark chocolate...and I have already eatin over half the box. MMMMMMMM In fact I will eat one now while I type this. :)

So another crazy day today for me..I have so many things I need to do that I am not sure where to start....and what store I want to start at. Lucky for me last night I went to bed at 9:30 then woke up around 6:50..which is about 30 mins earlier than I normally get up....so I decided that I would start a batch of laundry this morning. Which is one less thing I have to worry about tonight. :) Although I have all this stuff I need to do, I am very excited to have Bunco at my house tomorrow night. :) mmmmmmm dark chocolate. LOL

Sorry I have been away....

Last week at my work we got hit with a HUGE virus and they didn't want us to log onto anything personal. So I couldn't really get on to my blog. Hopefully starting today I am back and will be able to post something everyday Mon-Friday. :)

The next couple of weeks are going to be crazy busy for me. Tonight I have to go to the store, buy food for Bunco, laundry, and head to my parents around 6:30 for cake and ice cream. We will be finishing the BEST chocolate cake that I have ever made. Something about this cake this time made it super good.

Anywho....I have got to go....I hope everyone had a great weekend.

Birthdays

It is very interesting to me how people do different things on their birthdays. For example....
This girl at my work...well when it is her birthday she will not shut up about it. She loves to tell everyone about it. Not just once but dozen of times...I think she is afraid that we are going to forget after the 5th time.

Then I have a friend that everytime when it is almost time for her birthday, she gets super angry and mad...it is like she doesn't want to be reminded of her birthday.

Then there is me...most of the time if I ever get a birthday party it is cause I planned it for myself...and let's be honest planning your own birthday party really sucks!!! So this year I am not planning a birthday party...so I am not having one. Anthony did send some texts out to some of our friends to see if they wanted to go for a motorcycle ride on Sunday (if you want to go let me know)...and I think that is about as good as it is going get this year. I am not to worried about it...I just want to have a mellow day and enjoy time with my hubby. I would include my parents in that last sentence but even they are not going to be home for it.

I hope you read this and don't think this is suppose to be a pitty party for me cause it is not...I just trying to say that this year it is going to be chill, and that is ok. :) Although I am thinking of making a chocolate cake for Sunday so if anyone would like to come over and have some...you are more than welcome too. I am sure we will be home from the ride around 4, so come around 5.

My Daytona and Me...(photo session)

So I don't know if you guys remember or not the story about how a lady came up to me and asked me if I could come up to her photography studio and do a photo session with my bike and me. Well....the photos are up on her website and you guys can be the judges...so tell me what you think.

Go to....

http://www.kaykanterphotography.com/index2.php#/proofing/

then the password is: lindsey

Then BAM!!! I am so embarassed about these, but I am extremely flattered that she would ask me to do it. Thanks Kay....you are amazing photographer and a great person.

By the way...Indianapolis was great!! I love that place, and I hope one day I can go back.

Tuesday, May 4, 2010

Off to Indianapolis....

Today I leave for Indianapolis till very late Thursday night. I will be going to a convention for my work and so my days will be long...but hopefully full of good information that I can use and apply to my job. I am looking forward to my flight out there....it will be the first time I have EVER flew First Class!! It will be different but very nice since it is over a 4 hour flight. :)

I just wanted to take the this time and tell my hubby how much I love and appreciate everything he does for me and us. He is the best thing that has ever happened to me, and I love him more and more everyday for that....and if he happens to clean while I am gone (hint hint) that would be awesome! lol I love you Ant. :)

Our Trip to California....

I am going to make this short and sweet as possible....I promise... ;)

Well we left for CA on Wednesday night...stay in St. George (parents 2nd house)...then drove to CA on Thursday. We got there checked into our dodgy hotel (we didn't get shot while we were so it wasn't as bad as we thought) then went to the race track. We got to the race track...met up with Charlie, Dave Wells, and Scott Jennings (Scott is a race track legend...look it up if you don't believe me)....then we found out Ant had an oil leak so they were going to tear into the engine...while they did that I went to look around....only to find out Miller Motorsports was there and I wanted to see why they were all the way in CA when they are based out of UT. Found out that they were having a Yamaha racer school there and they were in charge of it....since they were doing that...they had a pro AMA Superbike Racer there by the name of Josh Hayes....so I naturally, not shy went over to introduce myself to world famous Josh Hayes....4-5 hours later we were still talking (when he wasn't making a couple of laps)...he was a great, super nice guy....not to mention his wife is a racer too...and that is really cool too.

Friday...Ant spent the day at racer school....I just helped out the men wherever they needed help...mainly grabbed them lunch when they wanted it too....Did I mention we also shared a garage with the ONLY American to win in the Isle Of Mann? Well we did...his name is Dave Roper (look that one up to while you are at it)..... then at the end of the day...they had a race for first time racers.....so naturally Ant was in the race and took 2nd overall....so that was great..
Sat...Ant practiced....then it was race time (a couple of hours later) so Ant did he warm up lap...then got to the starting line (grid)...and oh noooo Ant wasn't moving...what was wrong???? Got down to the garage (I was on the hill ready to film) and come to find out he was out of gas...he forgot to fill up. Well after everyone's comments of "you won't be doing that again...you will check the tank 5 times every time you go out on the race track now" (if I had a dollar every time I heard that on Sat, ha ha) But mainly it was a LOT of support from everyone. So that cheered Ant right up.

Sunday.....Practice and after a couple of times of checking the gas tank...Ant got to race!!! Overall he took 2nd place in his race and he dropped 14 seconds off of his lap time since Friday...So he walked out of Willow Springs a happy man.

Monday...we went to 6 Flags...and there was NO ONE there... I think the longest we waited in line was 10 mins tops...but most of the rides we just walked right on...it was fun. Then that night we drove down to Long Beach and stay with Charlie.

Tuesday...we had a great breakfast at Charlie's place...Thank you Annette it was great...and then we got a personal invitation to see this guys motorcycle collection...it was amazing!!! He maybe had I am guessing about 5 million dollars worth of motorcycles...and the worse part about it is...there wasn't that many bikes....maybe 20-30 bikes....that just shows you how valuable this bikes were. It was great...then after that we drove back to St. George.....Then on Wednesday we just woke up and went home..

There you go...the short story of our trip....I promise a lot more happened that I could write about but I don't want to put you to sleep more than I have. :)

Guess who's back...back again.....

I am home. Which is kind of a bummer because we had the best time on this trip. I will be posting photos and a HUGE post about it this weekend. Hopefully I will have everything up on Sunday. Got to go...back to work.

Last entry for a while....

Well unless someone has a laptop and the internet while we are in California this will be the last blog entry untill I get home. But don't worry I will have plenty of video and photos to post when we get back. I am not sure though what I am more excited about...the fact that Ant is racing, or the fact that we are going on vacation to California, or the fact that we are going to 6 Flags, or the fact that I get to spend sometime with my hubby???? I guess I would say it is all the above. I have so much to look forward to on this trip. :) It makes me all warm and fuzzy inside. ha ha

You guys have a great rest of your week and if I can, I will check in and update everyone on what is going on.

California here we come...

right back where we started from.....I love The O.C. why did they have to cancel that show...anywho that is not why I am here... I just wanted to say that we are off to California tomorrow night. I am so excited for Anthony and happy to get away for a while. I am really looking forward to going to 6 Flags. It is one of my happy places. Well I have to make this short and sweet cause I am headed home now to pack...then Bunco...WOOOT WOOT.

Talk to you tomorrow. :)

Good Morning...

This is little bit long (about 3 mins) but it is worth it....it is so funny

What a great weekend....

It started so fun and ended amazing!

On Friday night:Tiecen and JD came down, then Alicia Valgardson Weeks came over and we had Pizza and chocolate cake. Then while we were eating my cousin Jennifer text me telling me that her and Kirk were going to make the drive down for some yummy chinesse food in Spanish Fork. So they stop in and hung out as well.

Saturday: I had two bridial showers to go to (the Jensen one was the best), then I had to book it up to the Motorcycle dealership to get my bike washed for my photo shoot. I had so much fun at photo shoot. Kay was awesome. I told her that I was nervous but then by the time they got my bike in and I got all dolled up I was no longer nervous. She made me feel so comfortable and it was so much fun. She is a great photographer. Once she gets the pictures posted on her website I will put the link up and you can go check them out. The ones I saw, turned out good! The whole time during the photo shoot she kept telling me how much she excited that they are turning out so fantasic...so I really want to see how they turned out.

Sunday: I woke up at 5:30a.m. (I stayed in bed till 6) and met a couple of the guys from the motorcycle shop up in Salt Lake at 7:45 to go eat some breakfast then go for a ride. Homer made us some homemade biskits and gravy with some sausage...and it was so good. Then a couple of them were on dual sport bikes, so once we got to the dirt road, Casey and I went for a ride. I took him down to Fairview then through Fairview canyon (one of my favorite places to ride) and then to Huntington and back. By the time day was over I covered enough milage that I could have gone to Vegas!! From my house to downtown Vegas it is 380 miles....yesterday I drove 375 miles!!! If you were to count ALL the miles I put on over the whole weekend it was 515 miles. It is a new record for me. WOOT WOOT.

I am ready for my close up......

So this morning I got a phone call from our friends wife who is a photographer. She asked me if I I wanted to come up with my motorcycle and have a photo shoot with her tomorrow night. She said that the pictures are for some posters that she is having made for something that she is doing on the 24th of April. Which I think that she is going to be at the big motorcycle convention that they are having in Salt Lake, and she is promoting her photography or something. So on Apirl 24th everyone that is going to go to the convention gets to see an oversized poster of me on my bike. Ha ha Lucky. She told me come with my hair and make up done, cause they want to do a bunch of me off the bike too. Oh great...for those of you who really know me....know that I don't wear make up. So that will be interesting to see the outcome. Maybe if she sends me a copy of the photos I will post one on here. LOL

Dyno test#2

Ant is at the Triumph dealership as I type this about to run his race bike on the Dyno for the 2nd time. The first time he got 49.7 horsepower which is about right considering how high we are and for the first try. But last couple of days he has been rebuilding somethings here and there and today were are hoping for 50+ horsepower. I am sure if we were at sea level he would get a lot more...so next week when he is racing in California....oh yeah...it should run sooooo awesome.

Tiecen...and MotorGP race....

WAHOOOOOO Tiecen is here!!! It is going to be a good week. I am so excited to spend time with her and her daughter Olivia.

I forgot to post this yesterday but........

GOOD JOB Ben Spies on your first official MotoGP race!! I thought it was funny that your new number is 11, you started in 11th position, and you ended in 5th place that gave you 11 points. LOL

Also Congrats to Nikky Hayden too.....way to come in 4th!! You really gave Dovizioso a run for his money.

GOOOOOO REEEEALLL SALT LAKE!!

I am looking forward to go to the Real home opener game. I am also looking forward to having lunch with Jacie while she is in town this weekend. I am not sure what day we are going to get together but it will be good to see her. She is getting married here in Utah and she is going to be in town to work on some wedding stuff. I am trying to help her out where I can but she hasn't really asked for much other than finding a DJ. Lucky for her I know a couple...I just don't know if she wants to pay their price they are asking for. I guess we will find out. ha ha

Ant is going to be working on the motorcycle all weekend so I am pretty much going to be flying solo all weekend. I am very proud of him though...for building this motorcycle from the ground up..he has done an amazing job. GREAT JOB BABE! :)

Slow work day....

Work today is lame....and slow....and boring....did I mention how lame today is? ha ha I have a project that I am working on, and it isn't hard it is just really boring and lame. ha ha ha I wish I was with the Anderson's in Zions canyon hiking around. THAT would be fun. :) But on a lighter note...tomorrow I am going to ride the motorcycle to work, and on my way home from work...I will take a detour so it is longer ride home. :)

17 days till Ant races in Willow Springs, California. :)

Ok I wait till tomorrow to post this.....

But I can't....this is brillant!!! Look at this commerical for my favorite motorcycle........

Isn't that the most beautiful bike your eyes have ever laid on? I love it!!!!

More GREAT News....

I just got some GREAT news that one of my good friends Tiecen Clements Anderson is going to be in town next week!!!! Can I tell you how excited I am to see her?!?!?! I am SOOOOO FREAKING EXCITED!!!

Here is a little history of our friendship......

Her and I became good friends in Jr. high school (Intermediate school if you are from NZ). When we went to High School (College, again for NZ folks) we ended up at different schools and lost contact with each other. Then last year I had thought of a great memory that I had with her and I thought....I should see if I can find her on Facebook....I miss her. So I looked and BAM! There she was. We got talking and come to find out she just recently moved back to Utah from California. So for the next couple of months we practially spent every night hanging out and catching up. We became great friends again. :) Then I got the news that her hubby is going to go back to school and they have to move to Florida. That was the only school that offers the classes he wants to take. It was a great day for them, but very sad for me (I cried when she left). Then almost every week (execpt maybe 3) I have written her a letter and sent her some kind of activity to do in the letter...like word search or a coloring page for her little girl Olivia to color. I thought sending a letter would be so much more fun to get than a text message...besides who doesn't like getting letters?

So now you have a little bit more understanding why I am so excited to see her. I love her and she is such a great friend....I can't wait till next Tuesday now. We are even going to have a sleep over the weekend..like we did on New Years. I am such a little kid right now, cause I am filled with so much excitement. I LOVE YOU TIE...and I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE YOU!!

Easter baby. :) I just wanted to express my congrats. to them...even though I don't think he reads my blog. ha ha Scott is so happy...when he called me this morning...I don't think I have ever heard him this happy in a while.

So.....CONGRATS Scott...I am so happy for you and your girlfriend.

Congrats to myself.

So I have been trying really hard to eat better, and go to Zumba at least twice a week. I want to get back into better shape. So last night I went to the gym just do to a little 30 min workout. When I was done I thought that maybe I should weigh myself and see where I am at. I got on the scale and came to complete shock!!!! I even had to weigh myself twice to see if it is true, and it was!!!! I have lost a total of 12 pounds!!!! I am so excited and happy!! I am sure it might go up because I will be the first to admit my weight goes up and down depending on the time of the month, but for now let me enjoy this moment. :) I am so EXCITED and HAPPY!!! I am only 4 pounds away from what I was in High School. Even though that went up and down too, depending if I was doing Swimming and Lacrosse at the same time or other things like that to keep me very active. But I am almost half tempted to go to the mall tomorrow and try on a size 4 jeans just to see if I can do it or not. If I do, you know how unbelievable that will be to me?!?! I don't even recall the last time I have ever worn a size 4 jeans. I know in high school I didn't even fit into that size. So today I am going give myself a pat on the back and say....keep up the good work.
P.S. I love Zumba even more!

Chocolate cake party...

My idea of having some people over for some chocolate cake is not going to work out this weekend. So let's do it next Friday night. :) So anyone who wants to come let me know (so I know how much to make), and plan to come next Friday at 7:00. It will be lots of fun. :)

Wednesday, March 31, 2010

Once again..I am going to talk about cravings.....

Ok so I am off that time of the month, but for some reason I am having a HUGE chocolate craving. Most of the time that craving comes before I start. So I figured the only way I want to get rid of that craving is if I make homemade chocolate cake. So this weekend my plan is to make a chocolate cake, and if anyone would like to join me in helping me eat it, you are more than welcome to come down and have some. In fact I think will have a little chocolate cake party on Saturday night or Friday night. So...let me know if you would like to come down for it and I will let you know what night I will be having a get together.

WOW...old friends......

I am surprised I do have some kind of fan base out there. ha ha

Shea, you really should update your blog....I think it hasn't been updated since last fall...when Jamie got married I think. ha ha Oh and Shea....I have to tell you the other day I was looking through my DVD collection and I found my copy of The Last Unicorn....I started to laugh because I forgot I bought it....and it reminded me of how we watched that and Beetlejuice (which I own as well) all the time when were kids.

While I am thinking of old friends and friends that I have been friends with for a while I want to take the time and.....THANK YOU....Thank you to all of you that have been friends with me through out the years...and thank you for being with me through thick and thin, through the good and the bad. I LOVE YOU.....I love you for supporting me through all of the good and bad choices I made in my life. I just hope I do the same thing for you and if not I hope you give me the chance to show you my support.

THANK YOU and I LOVE YOU for being who you are.....great friends.

This weekend....

Besides going to Zumba, and riding the motorcycle as much as I can...and I might go into work at the dealership for a couple of hours tomorrow...I don't have any plans. I don't want to spend any money other than filling my motorcycles gas tank. I do know, it will be a lot better than being at work...this work week has not been the best. I feel like everyone I have talked to has said the same thing...that this week just sucked. ha ha Lets start the weekend, so that we can have a better work week next week.

Sick or work???

Which one is worse? Being sick so you have to stay home from work? Or going to work? Sometimes I get sooo sick that I would rather be at work. But then sometimes I am so sick of work, I would rather be home bored out of mind. Ant has been home sick for the last 3 days cause he is sick. I don't know if I am jealous or I feel bad for him. ha ha ha Of course I feel bad for him that he is sick...but I think I would go crazy being stuck home for 3 days.

Old friends good times....

I am not going to get into it.....but I am so very EXCITED for tonight!!! Nelvin Wilson is in town and our little group of friends are getting together tonight to hang out. Even Luke and his family is going to be there!! I am so excited to have almost everyone there from our old group of friends!! I have prepared a great dinner and Arika (Luke's wife) made a better than sex cake. So we are going to be having some good food and some great times.

CONGRATS BYU!!

GO BYU and the big win!!! That was a great game...but not as good as the last 2 seconds of the Murray and Vandy game. That was AWESOME!!! Way to score at the last second. It will also be the upset of the day for sure.... ha ha ha All the sport broadcasters will be talking about it for awhile.

So much for all the weight I have lost....

So as of last Sunday....I have no will power when it comes to junk food. I have no idea what my problem is. I have been eating like crap so bad lately, it sucks!!! Last night at nine o'clock Anthony and I went and got frozen yogart....at NINE O'CLOCK!!!! You should be thinking about going to bed at that time....not ice cream....well at least I got the healthiest flavor which oddly enough it was chocolate, but then I had to go and kill that by smothering it with Kit Kat bar. I have been little Miss Piggy lately...and I try to control it...but I can't!! Today I started out healthy, but then when I got to work I had a BIG fat piece of banana bread, and two cupcakes. OH BOY!! You would think that I would be prego the way I am eating lately, but I am not. I can only imagine my week is going to get worse. Tomorrow night is Bunco...they always have good treats there...then Thursday night is British Motorcycle Club meeting..and the resturant that we have it at has a VERY good pie. Then Friday night I am camping out with my cousin for New Moon and no doubt we will be snacking on junk food....good thing I am going to Zumba tonight. ha ha ha ha ha

Team Both

So I am sure at least 65% of all women right now are all counting down the days till next Friday.....New Moon comes out on DVD at midnight. I know you can count me in as one of those women that are counting down. ha ha I mean come on...the sceen where Jacob takes off his shirt for the first time.....HELLLLLLOOOOOO Yeah it is nice.........really nice. :) I am starting my own thing called "Team Both" rather than picking Team Jacob or Team Edward, I am going for all the above.

"TEAM BOTH"

Who is with me? GO TEAM BOTH...GO TEAM BOTH!!! Why pick one when you can have BOTH?

Daylight savings this week...

I am so excited for daylight savings this Sunday. I am not too excited to loose that hour of sleep....but there are so many reasons to be excited for daylight savings this time of the year. Here are my reasons why.
  1. The most important reason is....it gets warmer earlier in the day which means I can start riding the motorcycle to work. :) WAHOOOOOOOOOO
  2. It is the first sign that spring is just around the corner.
  3. Did I mention that I get to start riding my motorcycle to work? YES...I am that excited. :)
  4. More daylight when I get off work, which means more time that I get to ride my motorcycle. I am telling you....it is my new passion...I seriously can go 400 miles and still want to keep going. I love it sooo much.
  5. It also means it is getting closer to mtn. bike season...When I am not going to be riding my motorcycle...I will be riding my other favorite thing....my mountain bike.

So there you go...something to look forward to this weekend...in case you didn't have anything to look forward too. :)

Old Songs.....

I love it how old songs from the 50's and 60's make me so happy. They make me think of all of the different the road trips that my family would take when I was little. You would think that I was born in the 40's or 50's the way I talk...but we all know that isn't true...my parents just listen to the music a lot. In fact when I had my record collection stored at my parents while we were moving house, my dad went through some of it. Needless to say, he ended up taking some of my records just to have because he wanted them. Till this day...he is the only one that I have allowed to take some records out of my collection to have. Not sure what he is going to do with them...he doesn't even have a record player to play them but I think he wanted them for the same reason that I do......it takes him back to a great time of his life. :)

Dinner...

I think all of us go through this one time or another......"What do I cook for dinner tonight? Nothing sounds good" Well I go through this at least once a week. Anthony is so picky when it comes to food...it is really hard for me to decide what I want to cook. Tonight, it is not a matter of what I want to cook, it is matter what do I feel like eating. Ant isn't going to be home for dinner, so I get to have whatever my hearts desires....but nothing sounds good to me. In fact I just want to go home and veg out in front of the couch. Days like these I would just come home and eat ice cream for dinner, but now that I am doing good and going to the gym regularly I don't want to mess that up.

Any ideas for easy dinner tonight?

Nicknames....

So I have had a couple of nicknames since I can remember....I think my first nickname that I ever had, was givin to me by my sister and brother...I am not to proud of it but here it is....Doorknob. They used to call me that all the time when I was little kid.

When I was in High School, I dated a kid named Scott H. and Jake A. (they were friends..don't ask hahaha). Scott was the one that gave me my nickname that has stuck with me pretty much since then...Dookus and Jake gave me The Duke. So anytime I hear someone call me by those nicknames or if you have ever called me by Dookus or The Duke....that tells you right there how long you have known me for.

But that wasn't the last of my nicknames....my all time favorite nickname was and is......DRUMROLL PLEASE...............Willis....Yep, simple Willis. My best friend Luke started calling me that years ago (I have known him for almost 12 years now) and ever since then, that little group of friends of ours (we don't see much of each other anymore, but when we do it is like we have never been separated) started to call me Willis too. I love it.

Now that you are update let me tell you why I thought of putting this on my blog...

So lately I have been going to the gym and doing Zumba at least twice a week and I have been feeling really good. So one of the owners of the company I work for...Jeff....the other day started to call me Washboard. I was like...why are you calling me Washboard...he told me "cause you are looking very fit lately and before you know you are going to have washboard abs" I just laughed and said "wishful thinking" If you know my boss Jeff...he doesn't ever give out complements unless he really means it...so that really that was really nice of him to say that. So ever since then, he calls me Washboard.

Now that I let the cat out of the bag about my nicknames....do you have any I don't know about?

Alice In Wonderland...

In case you have been living underneath a rock, one of my all time favorite Disney movies is being re-released this weekend....Alice In Wonderland. Did I mention one of my favorite directors is directing it too? I love Tim Burton. So you put two positives together and that equals GREATNESS. So you can guess what I will be doing this weekend. Ant and I are going to be seeing it and in 3-D and I am so excited to see it. Ant and I saw Avitar in 3-D and we both were just blown away how amazing it was in 3-D.

P.S. Ant loves Anne Hathaway...and she just happens to be in the movie. So I think it is safe to say that both Ant and I are excited to see the movie.

Being Positive

Is it weird that when I found out that my aunt died I didn't really cry much? It didn't hit me untill last night...I cried myself to sleep. Last night my mom said something that broke the shell.

Last night we were playing cards, and I asked my mom if she was doing ok. She seemed a little down at the moment, plus I knew she has had a really hard time. She said to me "It has hit me really hard cause it makes me think of my mom and how much I miss her." That is when it hit me...I can't even imagine what it is like to loose someone that close to you. The closest person I have ever lost was my Grandma Woolsey (who my mom is referring too). My grandma and I were extremely close, so much that when she was at the hospital and in the ICU...she was asking about me and if I was coming. It was like my grandma knew this was it...this is when she was going to leave the world. So when my mom said those words....it really broke my heart for her. It made me realize how much I am going to miss Vaunda as well.

Even though I am going to my aunt's funeral...it will be good to get to see all my cousins again that I haven't seen in a while that I would like to see.

So see.........there is always a positive to a negative.

Love lost but not forgotten...

Over the weekend I lost my Aunt Vaunda. They found cancer about 5 weeks ago, and the doctor said that she might live 4-5 months. Then to my understanding that they found more cancer in more places, so we weren't sure when she was going to be leaving us. It was just a matter of time at that point. So the week after we found out she had cancer, I went down to go visit her and to say our good-byes. It was very hard on me...I am very close to this aunt.

This aunt is also my grandma Woolsey's sister. So my grandma's sister married my dad's brother....so that means.....my dad's brother is also his uncle. hahahaha So this really has hit my mom really hard. She is having the hardest time about it (when it comes to my immediate family), it was my mom's aunt before she was her sister in law. So she has known Vaunda since the day she was born.

So when I went down to go visit and say our good-byes, I told my aunt...."when you see my grandma, will you please give her a big hug and kiss from me. I would tell you to tell her that I miss her so much...but I think she already knows." My aunt Vaunda told me "Yes I will" with a big smile on her face.

I will miss my aunt Vaunda and her great laugh.

Pictures DO say a thousand words.....

I found this picture on my sis-in-laws Facebook, and it just melted my heart......this is my niece Maddison and Anthony's little nana. I have never met this niece, because we have not been back to New Zealand since she was born. She is such a doll...I can't wait till I get to see her and give her the biggest hug and kisses. This picture really made me home sick for NZ.

I have such cute neices and nephews in NZ.... Take a look for yourself.....

Bella...(Micheal and Kim's little girl...such a cutie).

and Thomas (Maddison's older brother, they both are Hayley and Damien kids).

This two pictures put a BIG smile on face.

Burger Cravings......

Why is it at least once every two weeks I crave a big fat juicy burger? Even on V-day, I told Ant I didn't want to go out to dinner simply so I can advoid the crowds, but guess what? That burger craving kicked in about 7 o'clock...so we ended up going to my favorite place to get a burger.....5 Guys Burgers and Fries. Sure it isn't the most romantic dinner for V-day, but to me...I was in heaven. I love that place, and with there cajun fries....you can not go wrong! So it is that time of the week for me....I am craving a burger and bad. I found the only way to get rid of a craving it to give in. Sure you can try to find something to subsittute for it, but lets be honest here...that never works. So rather than eating all those calories to make up for the craving...I think I am going to tough it out and just go get the dang burger (sometime in the next couple of days). ha ha ha
Good thing Zumba kicked my butt last night...then I won't feel so bad eating so crappy.

To my hubby....

I love you so much. Thank you for making me happy.

Weekend review...

Last weekend was so much fun. We had a great time with Tim and Tina Anderson on Friday night. We went out on a double date and played Mini Golf, and some games at the arcade. It was so much fun just hanging out with us adults (even though we still acted like kids ha ha).

Then Saturday I organized my whole kitchen, I had the cleaning bug this weekend. That was so nice to get that done. Then we went out with Luke and Lindsay to dinner and movie. That was so much fun too.

Shutter Island was a GREAT movie. I love it. It isn't as scary as the ads make it to be, but it reminded me a LOT of an old Alfred Hitchcock movie. It had a twist to it, and the ending is good.

Then Sunday was fun too. Thanks everyone who came down to dinner. :) Even though out of all the people that came, I know Shawna is the only one that reads my blog, so really I am just thanking her for coming down. haha

Thank you EVERYONE for a great weekend.
