WOW....

There are no words that I can discribe about how amazing last night concert was. It wasn't as good as Paul McCartney but I think what made it so great was the friends I was with. Also it started to rain in the middle of the show, and I love the rain. So dancing to Reggae music with good friends while it is raining...it was the perfect mix. It was so much fun....it will be a night to remember...even though I got stuck in traffic and didn't get home till 3:30 am. ha ha but it is funny cause I didn't even get mad that I was stuck in traffic...I was on a natural high and that was great! Here is the band that we saw....

It is such a good song and the lyrics are so awesome.

Where is the motivation...

I need some motivation to work today. Anyone got some to spare, do want to spare me some? Holy cow I just want to be outside riding or playing, or something that is better than sitting at a desk for 8 hours. Tonight I am going to see Michael Franti and Spearhead, so it makes it harder for me to want to stay here at my desk. It should be a fun concert, cause I am going with some good friends.

Today is Casey's birthday as well. I felt bad for him cause I guess for the last 3 years his wife has been gone (business trip) for his birthday. So last night I didn't want him to be sad, when he came down to visit, so I made my homemade chocolate cake for his birthday cake. Then I delivered his piece a cake with a candle on it. I did sing happy birthday to him, but I did it so fast...no one wants to hear me sing...especially with a head cold. ha ha I think it made his day better. :)

Another note: my best friend Luke and his wife had there 2nd baby yesterday!! I am so happy for them. I would love to go over and visit them, but since I am sick I will just have to wait till I am healed. ha ha I don't want to get anyone sick.

Another note: I want to tell Taylor Anderson...I know what you are going through right now with Tyson being gone. It is very hard, but I promise you the time will go by faster than you think. You will be so busy with school that the next thing you know it...Tyson is home! :) If you ever need a hug or just to talk...you know you can always turn to your bigger sister. I will be there for you. :) Love ya Tay!

Somethings don't always pan out....

So something happened to me today that I don't want to go into much detail over with you, but lets just say I am not very happy of how it happened the way it did. It was suppose to be a great day today...the last day of work for the week....I got up at 5:00am this morning to help Anthony rebuild his shocks on his race bike, then I made him some breakfast.....and I get to hang out with two of my greatest friends tonight, Shawna and Casey. Well my addittude change about an hour ago when I got some really bad news and I got it the crappiest way of getting it....through email. What the heck is up with that??? Why couldn't the person just call me and tell me rather than emailing it to me. He didn't email me directly either....he did it through someone else. Talk about lack of respect for me, and making me feel 2 inches small. It was a downer that is for sure....finding out through an email through somebody else....such B.S.!!! Sorry this post was more of a venting one for me to get it off my shoulders.....and for that so I am sorry that this is such a downer post.

All work no play makes Jack a dull boy.....

The last couple of days of work have been crazy. It is no doubt because I have Friday off work and we are asking people to get their payrolls in early, but I am just feel burned out. It doesn't help either that I am sick. :( I woke up yesterday with a sore throat, my ears hurt, and my body aches as well. Today I didn't feel as sick, but once again my work is drowning me. I guess you can say I am looking forward to a 3 day weekend. :)

All Work NO play MakeS JAck a DULL Boy

Sooo....here is your official invation my party...

August 15th at 5:00 we will be eating dinner, then watching the Roast of The Hoff. If you would like to come please let me know, and then mark your calendars to save the date. :)

A little girl at Christmas....

So ever since I got my new motorcycle I have been doing my best not to buy things I don't want to save up for a pair of leathers. Well that moment came for me last weekend. I went up to Salt Lake Motorsports and found some Alpinestars and the guy said if they fit he will sell them to me at cost. Sure enough they fit...so I made my purchase and I got my first set of leathers. It was worth the wait. I love them!!!

One of the best nights of my life....

...happened to me last night. I only wish I would have paid the extra money to get the seats for $250.00, cause then I would have been in the first 20 rows of the concert...but our seats were still pretty amazing. I could still see him 85% of the concert. But I lived one of my ultimate dreams...I saw a Beatle preform. How many people can say that? I am sure there is quite a bit...but it was like a dream come true for me. This was the most amazing concert that I have ever been too...and if he EVER comes back to Utah (this was his first time in Utah) I will pay for the best seats in the house. The first song he sang was Jet and it was great...but the 2nd song he sang was All My Lovin...and I was just like the girls on the Ed Sullvan show when they first came over to the States....I started to cry. Dork I know. Then later on he started telling the audience about how you should never leave anything unsaid, because he felt that happened to him and John (Lennon). He didn't get to say what he wanted to say till it was too late, and so he wrote the most beautiful song to John about what he would say if he were still alive today...again...tears were swelling in my eyes. Then later he also paid tribute to George (Harrison, my favorite Beatle) and when he started singing Something, I lost it. I started to cry....I just looked at my cousin and was like..."I am a dork." ha ha lucky for me she understood. But it was so amazing...words can not discribe what that concert meant to me and how incredible it was. THANK YOU PAUL for making me so happy and having one of the best shows I have EVER been too. I am still on cloud 9 from the show! :)

The most expensive concert...

Tonight I will be attending the most expensive concert I have ever been too. Sir Paul McCartney! WAHOOOO I am so excited...this will be the closest I will ever get to seeing The Beatles. I got great seats and so that means it cost me a pretty penny, but trust me it will be worth every penny.

Ghosts of boyfriends pasts....

So I have had a very interesting week for me this week. I found out that a guy I dated in high school (my first real heart break..my sister can tell you. She even sent me flowers at school to try to cheer me up) I was his first kiss. ha ha Our courier at my work asked me if I remember Jake Allen (he went to AF high school) and I said yes, and he told me that he was his neighbor. Then he told me how the conversation started and then told me that Jake told him that I was his first kiss. ha ha lol I never knew that! ha ha

Then last night I went to the Modest Mouse concert (very good btw) and it was so funny...I was talking to my friend Casey and Sydra and I told them...."If I see my ex that I haven't seen in almost 7 years, I bet it will be tonight. He was the one that introduced to me to Modest Mouse" sure enough about 20 mins later I walk by a man that looks like my ex's little brother....I was like "Brett? is that you?" then he just looks at me weird and I hear a "oh hey, Lindsey!" and Clint was right next to him. I didn't even notice Clint was next to him. It was SO weird but good at the same time. It was good to hear his family was doing great and hear that he is doing good as well.

Talk about boyfriends from the passed coming back to haunt me. ha ha CRAZY. They say things come in 3's. So who will be the 3rd one to pop out of nowhere? ha ha

Tax dollars put to good use....

So the other day when I was running into Wal Mart to get something for dinner there was a lady in front of me in the check out lane. She had about 12 - 24 packs of Coke, and about 6-10 bags of chips, and when the clerk asked her how she was going to pay for it...she said food stamps. I was like FOOD STAMPS!!!!!!! REALLY?!?!?!?! Her total came to $89 (and change) and she gave the lady $90 worth of food stamps to pay for her coke and chips. I was thinking "WOW I am so glad my tax dollars are being put to good use" I was so upset...I tried not to judge her....but I was just upset that there are people that are really stuggling in this world and here in front of me I have a lady buying $90 worth of soda and chips with FOOD STAMPS!!! I wish I would have had the guts to say something to her and then followed by a slap across the face.

What you would call a great extended weekend....

Friday night Ant met me up at my work, then we headed up to Casey and Sydra's apartment. Then Aaron (from the motorcycle dealership) came over and we all went out to Indian food. The India Place is my new favorite resturant. :)

Then Saturday the 3 of them (Casey, Sydra, and Aaron) came down and we went on a ride on my favorite ride, Fairview canyon. We did the canyon twice it was so much fun. You can say I really broke in my new tires. :) Everyone was impressed including myself. Then we came back to our house and I cook dinner for everyone. Then Ant pulled out his little pocket bike (he bought it in garage sale for $40 ha ha) then we moved all the cars off the driveway and made our own race track. It was so funny, we even had neighbors coming over to watch everyone ride this thing. It was so funny to see what kind of lap times they pulled. Aaron won, of course cause he is my height and weighs next to nothing, and then Ant came in 2nd, and Casey came in 3rd. They were all only a couple of secs off from each other...it was a close race. I didn't feel like riding it, I just wanted to record the action. ha ha Then after that, we watched a movie (Grandma's Boy) then we went to Betos and watched fireworks. They all ended up staying over. We had an absolute blast!

Sunday we got invited to go up to Jason and Brittney's house, then to go out to breakfast, go for a ride, then go back to their place for a bbq. We did all of that, and had a great time with everyone up there.

Monday (day off for the holiday) I went 4-wheeling with the Andersons and my parents came along. It was so beautiful where we went, I really enjoyed the ride. Ant stayed home, he wanted to work on the race bike. Then that night we went over to my parents, ate pizza and watched a movie.

So that is what I call a great extended weekend. :)
