Questions

Why does my mother feel like she has to question everything you do or say? Not just simple questions but questions you know she is asking that she knows will bug you? Is it in our mother's nature to ask these questions just to see how far they can go? And what about the guilt trips?? I swear nobody is better at guilt trips than a mother. Lucky for me my mom has got a lot better over the years, either that or I just know what she is trying to do and I just don't let it get to me anymore. I really hope if and when I have kids, that I am not like my mother in that way. I know I am a lot like her in certain ways, but I know I do NOT want to guilt trip my kids into anything. I want my kids to make their own choices and learn from their own mistakes.
Anybody have the same feeling?

The hump I got over

So last week I was in this "hump" in my life that was making me feel like I was in the dumps. When Tuesday came around I started to slowly come out of that hump. I got out the motorcycle, and rode it for the first time since last fall. It felt so good to get out, I needed it so bad. This whole not having a job really drives me crazy. As of last week I have applied for 43 jobs. Only 3 of them have contacted me back and have received interviews. Then Tuesday night Evan and Kevan came out and stayed with us till Sunday. Wednesday Evan, Kevan, and I went snowboarding. I have been before but it has been a lonnnnng time since the last time I went, and they have never done it before. So the 3 of us decided that we would take a lesson. We found on Brighton's website that they had you can get a lesson, helmet, and day pass for only $80...which is a great deal considering the helmet was a super nice helmet. But I already had one that I had purchased over the holidays. So we did that, and we had a great first day. I love my new snowboard. It is so nice!!! Thank you again Mike for giving me a snowboard, bindings, and new gear for Christmas. It was all so good, and worked out great! Then since we had so much fun on Wednesday, we all decided to go boarding on Friday. Although this time Mike was able to go with us cause he had the day off. So the four of us went up to the mountain. I had so much fun. I am still not as good as I want to be but I was so much better than I was. :) We all had a great time.

It turned out to be such a great rest of the week.

So I am finding it to be sad...

That I have lost some great friends over my divorce, and that is to be expected. But what is not to be expected it when they are your really good friends (well at least I thought they were) and they decided to take one side and not both sides. I have lost some really great friends because they are one sided of the divorce, and it really bugs me cause they haven't even bothered to call me or contact me to get my side of the story, nor did they call to say I am so sorry to hear what you have went through. They just have decided that they would up and leave me as a friend and not even try to say...."I am sorry about the divorce. Why don't you tell me in your eyes what happened?" Then at least once they heard my story and decided to leave me as friend then I would respect that...it would still suck...but at least they know both sides of the story. I bring this up now cause I have just found out another friend that I thought was going to be two sided to the whole thing is really one sided. How do I know....Facebook. I really should be sending Facebook a Thank You card for helping me see through the lies. I found a couple of my friends today that I thought were great friends have de-friended me...which tells me one thing...they don't care about me anymore and they are feeding me lies when we hang out as friends. I am sad to see them do this to me...they are good people and fun to hang out with...but now I know that my walls are up when I am around and the minute I walk away from them, they will turn around and stab me in the back. Sad but true. I guess this was really just a vent message for me. Thanks for putting up with it.

For now...I am going to get into my motorcycle gear and go for a ride..I need to get the hell out. Clear my head. It will make me realize what and who I am thankful for, and that is what I need right now. Serenity now!!! haha

Here is a hint for all of you men....

So you guys always claim that you don't know what a woman wants well I am going to give you some more information that will help you get closer to that step.

#1 If a girl texts you...no matter what you should always text her back!!! NO MATTER WHAT!!! A girl will sit there wondering what she has done wrong to not deserve a text back...especially if she texts you "I love you" you should ALWAYS text her back with something. If not, you are loosing points and failing.

#2 If a girl gets a hair cut, done, or something to her hair you MUST tell her that it looks good. Or at least say something to the fact that she got it done. If you don't, you are really loosing this game. Most the time a girl gets her hair done for you!!! For the one she cares about and loves. She really wants you to make a great impression.

#3 Hugs. Make sure you always give a girl a hug when you see her...a kiss doesn't hurt either. Anytime she enters the room, or anytime she about to leave...you ALWAYS be the one to give her the hug and kiss good-bye. That will score you some major points!!!

Lucky for me I have a great guy that is pretty good and keeping his points high and not low. :)

So now ladies....what am I missing?? What is some really important things to you that you can think of that you know your man...or men in general could work on better?

I just thought that I would post this for any men who do read this...not sure there is any but oh well. :)

March 1st

So I know that 95% of my blog is about motorcycles...mainly me riding mine...well this post is no different. The main reason that I blog about riding motorcycles is cause that is the one thing that is my escape...my serenity. So as of March 1st, my new health insurance kicks in and I will be on my motorcycle! I decided the only thing that is going to stop me on that day is the weather....oh and if I have a job by then. So as long as it is above 40 degrees, no snow, I will be on my motorcycle. It is crazy but that is what I used to think about mountain biking. ha ha I guess I still do love mountain biking as much as I used too, it is just hard sport to do by yourself. I don't like to ride mountain bikes by myself ever since my HUGE accident years and years ago.

Have you noticed that they daytime is getting longer now...which means it is getting closer to spring?!?!?! Wahooo!!!!!

A BIG Thank you!!

The last couple of weeks have been really hard for me cause I lost my job, and I am what people call...broke. I know it gets boring to hear about Mike (cause I talk about him so much), but I have to say how much I have appreciated everything he has done and is about to do for me. Words can not express my deep appreciation for that man. So the question for you guys is....How do you say thanks for everything that he has done for me? How do you show your appreciation for helping me out with everything? I feel like nothing I do or say is going to be good enough. But if you guys have any ideas of what I can do to show my appreciation???? Oh and did I mention that I am jobless so I need to do it cheap? Well that is the case. I also don't know if I should do something for Valentine's day or wait till after the crazy holiday??? I kind of want to do it after the holiday because then it tells him that I appreciate him more. If I do it for the holiday then it might not mean as much to him. I really just want him to see how much I appreciate him. Help me people? I am not asking, I am telling you to help me? hahaha

Who would ever think you would get pressure from a website????

Do you feel like because you have a Facebook page you always have to be on it? And then you always think to yourself...."what would be a great status update?" and then you can never come up with one. Then sometimes when you come up with one, you come up with another, but you don't want to update your status again because it wasn't 30 mins ago when you just posted your last one.

I think it is so funny how a website has consumed so many lives including my own sometimes. 10 years ago, we would have never thought that this would be our future...Facebook. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy it. It just feels like sometimes their is a lot of pressure just to keep up with everyone on there. Does anyone agree with me on this?? Or am I just crazy??

Today I was reminded...

Today I went to a funeral of an old neighbor from my neighborhood in Lindon. He had a heart attack while he was playing basketball in the church. He was a very healthy man, and still very young (54), he was the health teacher for UVU and I believe he was also the mens basketball coach. Anywho he left his lovely wife and 5 wonderful kids (the youngest 12). Well I went to funeral because I wanted to support his family, and my mom thought it would be a good idea to go since I don't work anyways and she wanted the company. Well he has a daughter named Lindsee, and her talk at the funeral was incredible. I cried of course, but I wasn't sure if I was crying because I felt sympathy for her and her family or if it was because what she was saying reminded me of my grandma. It was both, but it made me think more of my grandma how much I miss her. I was really close to my grandma Woolsey. I can remember the day she died as if it were yesterday.
I remember the phone call I got from my mom telling me my grandma is in the ICU at the hospital and how she is coming to pick me up on the way to the hospital. My mom knew how close I was to my grandma. I remember walking into the room and seeing over a dozen ivy bags above her bed doing there best to keep her alive and pain free from the massive staph infection that started at her ankle and was quickly spreading. I remember standing back letting my mom talk to her as much as she can but then not hearing anything back from my grandma. I think it was because she had a breathing tube down her. I thought "It must hurt for her to talk cause she doesn't want to respond to my mom" So I did just stayed back....I felt helpless. Then about 5 mins later my mom announced to my grandma I was there. It was like a slow motion camera panned over to see her reaction I can remember it so clear. She looked over at me and held out her hand for mine and started to speak, started to talk to me the best she could. As I reached out for her hand, I could see the tears swell up in her eyes as one would release and roll down her cheek. As I grab a hold of her hand I could make out the words that she was trying to tell me, these would be the last words that she would speak to me or she would try her hardest to tell me with the tube down her throat. She would tell me "I love you...I love you....I love you" and you can just see that she was trying so hard to be strong, but the infection was going to be the only winner that day. So I was did my best to be strong for her, not show any weakness. I told her that "I love you, I am here, and I am not going anywhere." Then as our hands met she held on to my hand like she would not let go for anything. I knew I wasn't about to just let go, but eventually I had too. About 5-6 hours later the infection got so bad, it went up her leg, to her hip, up her back, and stopped at the neck. My mom, her siblings, and my grandpa made the choice that it was time to let her go. At this point the only thing that was keeping her alive was her pace maker. Her kidneys failed, the meds weren't working, and it was just time. At her funeral, I spoke. It was hard, but it meant a lot to me that got the opportunity to speak at my grandma's funeral. Even though she is not here...I will always believe that she is watching over me...she is my angel.

Sorry that today's blog was sappy. It was what I felt I needed to write. Thanks for putting up with me. :)

After a long break....

I am back! Nobody is going to read this now...I have been gone for way too long. :)

So what is new with me.....

Well last week I got laid off. Don't be sad for me, cause I am not. I see this as a good thing. Now I don't have to work in the summer when I would want to be riding on Saturday's. Now I don't have to work during the World Super Bike races, I actually will get to sit down and enjoy the racing. Now I don't have to worry about working late Saturday's to prepare for Demo Days that happen on Sunday's, and then work all day Sunday at the Demo Day.
The only worry I have now is money. What else does everyone worry about....money. Oh the joys of having to worry about expenses. I think if I had one wish right now it would be to pay off my credit cards, pay off my car, and let me be debt free. So can we pretend that airplane in the night sky are like shooting stars...I could really use a wish right now.

Well so now that I don't have a job, and a little spare time on my hands you are going to see a lot more of me on here. So please stop by once in a while, say hi, and if you get bored....call me or send me a text.

It is bedtime for me now...I will talk to you tomorrow. :) NIGHT!

This one is for you Chelle....(my trips to NYC and SFO)

Ok update on my life....

So last week, I got the opportunity to go to NYC and San Francisco within one week. I have never done the coast to coast thing, but it was so much fun. Other than I had the worse luck with flying.

So REV'IT the motorcycle clothing company flew the Parts Manager Chad and I out to New York City. We flew out Tuesday morning, and as we were sitting in our seats, they announced that everyone has to de-board the plane cause Denver has grounded all flights due to weather. Chad and I were ok with that, cause we had a 4 hour layover. So that means that we have a 3 hour layover rather than a 4 hour. So an hour later we boarded our flight and it was the most bumpy flight I have ever been on. Even the flight attendant was really nervous when she made the announcement "the pilot has informed me to inform you that it is going to be this bumpy until we hit the ground (paused...everyone is laughing on the plane)...and I mean until we land." Then when we did land in Denver that flight attendant was M.I.A. ha ha they must have pulled her off to the side and gave her a little talk. So after we took off in Denver and on our way to NYC, we ended up having to do a hold on the plane (which means make circles till we have the clearance to land). So we were holding for about 30 mins and when we landed the airport was crazy busy. Even our driver (we had a car service) said he hadn't seen the airport as busy as it was that night. Good thing we only did carry on's and didn't check any bags.
So after we landed in NYC, the only thing I wanted to do that night was go get a famous NYC piece of pizza. So we did that, and not only did we do that, I found out that the place where we got pizza at was right next to the Empire State Building!!! So that was really cool.

The next day we spent the whole day at REV'IT, and in case you didn't see it on Facebook their office is in a great place. You can see the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, Statan Island, Manhattan, and Brooklyn. It was amazing view. So we spent the day learning about new motorcycle gear. Then later that night they took us to dinner and a great little bakery. You know how I love my baked items. :) I was going to go to Times Square but I got too tired and just wanted to go to bed. But they did make we take the Subway, and that was pretty cool. ha ha
The next day was the flight home. They delayed our flight out, which means when we landed in Arionza, we were running to make our flight to Salt Lake. It was crazy, we got there just in the nick of time.

Then I was home just enough to go to work on Friday and Saturday. But on Saturday I left work an hour early to go get on a plane to San Fran.

My flight to San Fran. lucky enough had no problems other than it landed early but that was no problem really. It just means I had to wait a little bit longer for Mikey to come and pick me up.
Once Evan and him picked me, we went to our hotel which was the Ritz Carlton (fancy dancy). Then we meet up with some more people and went out to a great Thai resturant. Then after that, Evan, Mike, and I went back to the hotel to get ready for the Halloween party that we planned to go to. Mike and I dressed up as Zombies cause it was easy and we didn't have to worry about much to the costume. Evan dressed up as a doctor, cause that is what he is...so he didn't really have to dress up much either. It was nice for all of us.

Then we headed to the club, and danced our butts off till I believe 5 in the morning!! It was so much fun. I can not even tell you the words as to how much fun it was, but it for sure had to be the best time I have ever had in my life (up to date). Mikey really knows how to pick a great place to go dance :) Then after we left the club, we went back to the hotel room and chilled out till about 6:30 in the morning. Then we went to bed and didn't wake up till about 3:00 in the afternoon. Then Evan, Brooklyn, Michael, and I went to breakfast. I had the best pancakes I have ever had. mmmmm. Then Brooklyn, Michael, and I all went swimming. Then the 3 of us went out to dinner for some authentic Itailian. It was so good as well. Afterwards, we just went to bed, cause we had an early morning flight. So at 3:30 am Michael and I woke up and went to the airport only to find out that our flight was canceled after we boarded the plane. So Mikey being the VIP of Delta that he is, called and got us directly on the next flight out of San Fran. So other than our flight out the weekend was completely wonderfully amazing!!!

Ok so I better get back to work...but that the update on me. :) Now back to work.

This weekend....

So this weekend is going to be a busy one for me.

Saturday...at work we are having a big open house for the new Triumph Sprint GT, which I am in charge of so I am going to be crazy busy tomorrow.

Sunday...I get to go watch people go run circles around Miller...not really just people either...I get to go watch Mikey around a track on a HOT Daytona 675. I will admit I am a little jealous that he is riding a fully prep race Daytona. Maybe one day he will let me ride his race bike around Miller. hint hint

Monday....which is part of my weekend cause I work Tuesday through Saturday...Monday I will be hanging out with my great friend Tiecen and her daughter. She is moving to Vegas within the next week...so I want to be able to hang out with her before she leaves.

So if you couldn't guess I am pretty excited for this weekend....well mainly Sunday and Monday...Saturday...not so much. :)

Updates

Ok so here is what is going on lately.....

So my job has been black and white...some days are really busy and some days are slow, but overall it is really good. It is fun to work for a motorcycle dealership. It is fun when you get a customer that follows racing and then the salesman comes over and says..."you need to talk to her" So we end up talking about racers and racing that is going on. I say this cause this just happened. I think I really impressed him. ha ha

My new place is awesome. I love how close I am to work now....it is so nice that I get to sleep in an extra 15 or 20 mins. ha ha Altough it seems lately I have been waking up every morning at 6. No matter what time I go to bed I seem to be wide awake around 6...sucks. :( I am not getting my beauty rest...Mikey (that one is for you Warren) is not going to find me beautiful anymore if this keeps up. ha ha

Speaking of the devil....Mike invited me to do another ART class at Miller on the 26th of Sept...and it was so good to be out there again. It made me realize that I do want to hopefully start racing one day, but I want to be smart about it. I will take all the classes I can and learn everything that there is to be taught and once I feel comfortable, then think about put the money down for race bike. Mike is amazing though...he really knows how to make this girl happy...and inviting me to the ART classes is for sure one of those things that makes me happy.

Off the subject...I need a neck and back rub...any volunteers? ha ha

Update

So the last week I have been moving out of my house and putting everything into storage, cause we are having the renters move in next Friday. This morning I started moving out of my apartment and I will be moving that stuff in my new place....which I am very excited about. But it feels like the only thing that I have been doing since Monday is moving....and it isn't going to stop untill next Friday. Next Friday my renters will be moving into my house, and I will be officially moving into my new place.

My new place is going to be nice. I have a really nice size room, I will be sharing a bathroom...but that is fine..and most important I will have a place to park my motorcycle in the wintertime. It is nice when your roommates are also motorcycle people too, cause then you know that your bike will be just fine.

So I am so much looking forward to the weekend. The ART class that I took at Miller the first of Aug is happening again on Sunday, and who has two thumbs and will be going to be to it.....this girl. :) I love learning anything and everything their is know about motorcycle riding. I really want to learn more about riding on the track...in hopes one day I will be able to get the gutts and actually race. Maybe towards the end of next summer or something. Who knows. :) So I am looking forward to the weekend very much.

I am here I promise....

I am sorry I haven't posted anything in a while...I have been really busy trying to find a place to live...which I found somewhere...wahooo..... and I have been really busy with my new job at the motorcycle dealership. Really those are pretty lame excuses cause I could just take 5 mins and write something on here...but I really do think that not a lot of people follow it anymore since I have been gone for a while. Oh well....

Things are getting better...of course there are some moments that aren't so good...but they are for sure getting better and better as the days go by. I am just doing my best to surround myself around the people that make me feel good about myself, and keep a positive outlook on life. I am not looking forward to moving. I love my house...it was a great house...but I am glad that Dallas and Tiffany are renting out for us so we are not having to pay for all of the mortgage. They are going to be helping us out so much. I appreciate them for doing it.

Did I tell you that I went on amazing motorcycle trip last weekend? I went with the Canyonchasers.net and it was so fun....no one crashed....no one got hurt. We hit every amazing twisted canyon to Wolf Creek down to Torrey down to Bryce Canyon. We even went through Escalante...which as you know that is where my dad and mom's side of the family is from. I haven't been back there in over 8 years. It was so great to be back....we rode right by the Henryville Cemetery and I blew a kiss to my Grandma and Grandpa. Well the trip was incredible, the food was amazing, and the company was even better. We rode 1100 miles in 3 days....correction 1100 twisting miles in 3 days.

Anywho.....I am off to bed....exhausted. Have a good night.

My first track day at Miller....

So yesterday didn't start out so hot...it was raining cats and dogs and I was a little worried that the track day I had planned was not going to turn out so well. I ended up going into work for a couple of hours....hung out in my wet leathers..then I headed out for the track. By the time I got to the track the rain stopped and the sun started to shine..then by the time lunch was done and over with..it was a beautiful day!! I asked my friend Mike to come to the track day..normally he doesn't pay for track days cause he is an A.R.T. instructor...but he gladly said he would come and show me how to be smooth on the track. It was BRILLANT!! He showed me how to hit the apexes, where my body should be, when and were I should speed up and slow down, and finally...how to properly put my knee down. All of it was so amazing! He told me that I did a great job...and I said thanks but I still have a lot to learn. Because I do. Just cause I went out to the track..doesn't make me an expert...I still have and I still want to learn so much. I want to learn as much as they will let me. I also got to ride two up with Shorty from the Yamaha racing school..that was mind blowing as well...and super crazy fast. He also took the time to show me a trick or two about the track as well. :) Thanks guys for all of your help.

It has been a while but I am back....

Sorry that I haven't posted anything in a while...but in case you didn't know there is a lot going on in my life right now. I got a new car cause I have been seperated from my husband and I wanted a lower car payment. So I got the car I wanted in the first place...a Ford Fusion. It is fun.. I love my car. :) Also Ant and I have decided that we are going to get divorced cause we want to make sure we end this not mad or hating at each other....and end this as adults. We are moving forward so that we can move on. So that means we are putting our house up for sale if anyone is interested. Also...I have put in my two weeks notice at my job and now I will be working up at BWM/Triumph motorcycles of Salt Lake as of Sept 4th. I will be the Events and Marketing person. It will be hard and busy but I will enjoy it cause I get to talk and be around motorcycles all day. :) I will be working Tuesday-Saturday. It will be nice to have Mondays off work.

So with all of the sudden changes in my life...I am doing my best to stay positive and keep my head above water. It was nice yesterday morning....cause I had the best calming feeling..and ever since then I feel good about things. :)

675....

So ever since I have been out on the track...I have been ruined. That is all I want to do now...just ride on the track. On the 28th I am going to be out at Miller doing a track day. I am so excited for it. It is going to be the West track, which in my opinion I think the East would have been more fun...but at this point I will take anything that I can get. :) Thank you Triumph for having a track day. :) wahooooo

Weekend of Motorcycle racing...

So I pretty much spent the whole weekend at Miller. It was fun to see some of my friends race, including the two GREAT races Mike (Daytona 675) vs. Aaron (SV 650). That was pure entertainment if you ask me. They both put up a big fight, but I have reason to believe that Mike is a lot like the UFC fighter Silva.

Silva would like you to think he is loosing but then at the last min (or lap at this case) he comes in and distroys. So that makes me think Mike like to play the field a little bit...starts towards the back...then a couple of laps before the end..he starts to crawl up on the compettion. Then right at the last sec...BAM he takes out compettion...and at this point the compettion was Aaron....and at the last turn Mike got him!!! It was such a good race. We all just had a great laugh at it. Way to go Aaron for being able to retire the pink shirt and Mike for a great finish.

Name dropping...

Hello MANGO!!!

Friday, August 13, 2010

Did you hear..it is Friday!!

Friday starts the weekend, and this weekend should be so much. I am going to go to Miller on Sat and Sun to watch Aaron race, then Sunday night is the roast of The Hoff. I am not having people over for it anymore btw. But I am very much looking forward to watching it. ha ha

Last night I saw The Lion King broadway play and WOW it was the most amazing thing I have EVER seen visually. The puppets were remarkable! It was so fun and funny. I would love to go see it again. :) If get the chance to go and see it, you should!! I think I loved it more than I love Wicked. Yes I said it...I liked it better than Wicked! ha ha So go and see it. :)
